August 2026, flog die Gruppe <strong>352.715 Passagiere an einem einzigen Tag<\/strong> \u2014 der gesch\u00e4ftigste Tag in seiner 93-j\u00e4hrigen Geschichte.<\/p>\r\n<p>Diese Zahl bezieht sich nicht auf eine einzelne Fluggesellschaft, sondern auf zwei, die Hand in Hand arbeiteten. Die nationale Fluggesellschaft bef\u00f6rderte 248.318 Passagiere; ihre Billigflugtochter AJet steuerte weitere 104.397 bei. Zusammen f\u00fchrten sie an diesem Sonntag 1.970 Passagierfl\u00fcge durch \u2013 und nachdem die Frachtflugzeuge von Turkish Cargo hinzugez\u00e4hlt wurden, erreichte die t\u00e4gliche Flugzahl der Gruppe mit 2.034 einen neuen H\u00f6chststand.<\/p>\r\n<p>Es handelte sich auch nicht um einen einmaligen Ausrutscher. Bereits am Samstag zuvor hatte die Fluggesellschaft mit 248.922 Passagieren ihren eigenen Tagesrekord aufgestellt. Turkish Airlines schafft das dank ihrer Lage. Der Flughafen Istanbul, ihr Heimatflughafen, ist als globaler Umsteigeknotenpunkt konzipiert \u2013 ein einziges Mega-Drehkreuz, das innerhalb von vier Flugstunden von einem Gro\u00dfteil der Weltbev\u00f6lkerung erreichbar ist und Passagiere zwischen Europa, Asien, Afrika und Amerika bef\u00f6rdert.<\/p>\r\n<p>Die Reichweite der Fluggesellschaft ist die eigentliche Sensation. Turkish Airlines bef\u00f6rderte im ersten Halbjahr 2026 44,5 Millionen Passagiere, 5,51 Millionen mehr als im Vorjahreszeitraum. Die Auslastung lag bei 83,71 Millionen \u2013 das bedeutet, dass mehr als vier von f\u00fcnf Sitzen im gesamten Streckennetz belegt waren.<\/p>\r\n<p>Auch der Flughafen Istanbul verzeichnet Rekordzahlen und ist gemessen an den Flugbewegungen der verkehrsreichste Flughafen Europas. Flughafen und Heimatfluggesellschaft profitieren voneinander: Mehr Fl\u00fcge f\u00fcllen mehr Sitzpl\u00e4tze, und mehr Sitzpl\u00e4tze rechtfertigen mehr Fl\u00fcge.<\/p>\r\n<p>Die Fluggesellschaft rechnet damit, noch vor Ende August weitere Rekorde zu brechen.
