The $1.3 billion building, on the opposite side of the airfield from the old one, replaces a complex whose original buildings date back to 1930.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is bigger, all-electric and built to modern seismic and runway-separation standards. The new building puts everything under one roof: a single ticketing hall, a single eight-lane security checkpoint and an indoor baggage claim with three new carousels. That was not possible in the old layout.
