Su energ\u00eda viaja hasta el objetivo y luego regresa, por lo que la se\u00f1al de retorno se aten\u00faa con la cuarta potencia de la distancia. Un inhibidor solo viaja en una direcci\u00f3n, por lo que su se\u00f1al se aten\u00faa con el cuadrado de la distancia. La soluci\u00f3n de IAI es el AESA multihaz: un conjunto que puede formar varios haces independientes y concentrar la energ\u00eda exactamente donde se necesita, en lugar de dispersarla por todo el cielo.<\/p>\r\n<p>Ese es el enfoque f\u00edsicamente coherente. Hist\u00f3ricamente, la inteligencia electr\u00f3nica y el ataque electr\u00f3nico se han ubicado en aeronaves diferentes, por una raz\u00f3n obvia: es dif\u00edcil escuchar con atenci\u00f3n cuando uno es el objeto m\u00e1s ruidoso en el cielo.<\/p>\r\n<p>IAI afirma que ELLYON puede interferir el radar y las comunicaciones durante el mismo vuelo mientras contin\u00faa recopilando datos. Para ello, se requiere una gesti\u00f3n muy cuidadosa de las propias emisiones para que la aeronave no sobrecargue sus receptores, lo cual presumiblemente es parte de la funci\u00f3n del Sistema de Gesti\u00f3n de Misiones basado en IA de ELTA.<\/p>\r\n<p>Aqu\u00ed es donde ELLYON se diferencia del resto del cat\u00e1logo de IAI. No debe confundirse con el avi\u00f3n ELI-3150 ISTAR, que cuenta con un conjunto de sensores muy similar, pero sin capacidad de ataque electr\u00f3nico. Tampoco es Oron, el avi\u00f3n de inteligencia basado en el G550 que entr\u00f3 en servicio en Israel durante la guerra de Gaza y realiz\u00f3 aproximadamente un centenar de misiones en sus primeros meses. La gran mayor\u00eda de los aviones de misiones especiales de ELTA se han construido sobre fuselajes Gulfstream G550: el Oron, el avi\u00f3n de alerta temprana CAEW y muchos otros anteriores. La ficha t\u00e9cnica de ELLYON especifica, en cambio, un Bombardier Global 6500.<\/p>\r\n<p>El material de prensa insiste simult\u00e1neamente en que el sistema es independiente de la plataforma, que es el tipo de cosas que dice un fabricante cuando quiere vender a clientes que ya utilizan otro sistema y cuando prefiere no depender de un \u00fanico proveedor de fuselajes.<\/p>\r\n<p>Nadie ha hecho un pedido. No hay precio anunciado ni fecha de entrada en servicio. Por ahora, ELLYON es una propuesta muy detallada de una empresa con una larga trayectoria en convertir este tipo de propuestas en aeronaves funcionales, y una serie de afirmaciones sobre su alcance
