STARLUX has quietly flown Taipei to Phoenix Sky Harbor since January, and the desert city has become one of the fastest-growing metros in the United States and an emerging gateway to Asia. Bringing the flagship art jet there first was, in effect, a thank-you and a flex.<\/p><p>Phoenix is one of five U.S. cities STARLUX now serves &mdash; alongside Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Ontario, California &mdash; all feeding its Taipei hub. The airline also launches its first European route, to Prague, on 1 August, stitching together a transpacific-to-Europe network built around comfort and, increasingly, spectacle.<\/p><h2 style=\"padding-top:22px\">Selling a feeling<\/h2><p>Underneath the art, this is a serious aeroplane: the A350-1000 is one of the most efficient long-haul twins flying, and STARLUX has fitted it with just four First Class suites and a lounge-like cabin gradient down to economy. Regular AIRSORAYAMA service to Phoenix, Tokyo and Prague begins on 1 October.<\/p><p>Plenty of airlines chase differentiation with lie-flat seats and mood lighting. STARLUX has decided the aircraft itself can be the headline act &mdash; and for once, the marketing might be right.
