Questo comodo accordo potrebbe presto finire. E non lo fa perch\u00e9 i motori attuali siano scadenti. Le due aziende si sono alternate al comando per cinquant&#039;anni e l&#039;ultimo modello di Eagle, l&#039;F-15EX, ha optato per il GE F110-129 dopo una gara persa da Pratt nel 2021. Per un cliente, avere solo due fornitori \u00e8 un limite. L&#039;Aeronautica Militare \u00e8 chiara sulle sue motivazioni: indica ritardi nella produzione, carenze nel controllo qualit\u00e0, componenti obsoleti e penuria di materiali critici nell&#039;attuale panorama industriale dei motori. Tradotto dal linguaggio degli appalti, ci\u00f2 significa che i jet di cui ha bisogno a volte sono in attesa di motori che non riesce a ottenere in tempi rapidi.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<div style=\"background:#f8f9fa;border-left:4px solid #1565c0;padding:20px 22px;margin:18px 0 24px;border-radius:0 8px 8px 0;font-size:16px;line-height:1.7;display:flex;gap:20px;align-items:flex-start\"><div><em>\u201cSolo l&#039;F110 di GE Aerospace \u00e8 gi\u00e0 stato consegnato all&#039;aeronautica militare statunitense, eliminando il rischio legato ai tempi e ai costi di sviluppo.\u201d<\/em><div style=\"margin-top:10px;font-size:14px;color:#555\"><strong>GE Aerospace<\/strong> \u2014 sulla vittoria del contratto per i motori dell&#039;F-15EX<\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"padding-top:22px\">Acquistare pensando alla vita intera, non al prezzo di listino.<\/h2>\r\n<p>Ci\u00f2 che rende interessante questa richiesta di informazioni (RFI) non \u00e8 solo chi potrebbe rispondervi, ma anche ci\u00f2 che l&#039;Aeronautica Militare dichiara di valorizzare. Il documento si concentra in particolare sul costo del ciclo di vita, sulla resilienza della catena di approvvigionamento, sulla facilit\u00e0 di manutenzione e sulla disponibilit\u00e0 degli aeromobili, piuttosto che sull&#039;offerta pi\u00f9 bassa fin dal primo giorno. Richiede inoltre che qualsiasi fornitore dimostri di essere in grado di avviare rapidamente la produzione e di garantire la fornitura di pezzi di ricambio per tutta la durata di vita del motore.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Si tratta di una lista di desideri molto specifica. Premia un&#039;azienda su cui si pu\u00f2 contare da trent&#039;anni, piuttosto che una che si limita a offrire un prezzo inferiore. Il servizio non ha specificato se desidera un motore completamente nuovo o una versione migliorata di un modello gi\u00e0 esistente; e con una domanda prevista di 180 motori all&#039;anno entro il 2034, la posta in gioco per chiunque si aggiudichi l&#039;appalto \u00e8 altissima.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"padding-top:22px\">Una lotta familiare, riaperta<\/h2>\r\n<p>Niente di tutto ci\u00f2 garantisce l&#039;arrivo di un nuovo concorrente. Pratt &amp; Whitney ha passato anni a presentare il suo F100 come la scelta &quot;a basso rischio&quot; per gli Eagle destinati all&#039;esportazione, e GE far\u00e0 notare, come sempre, che il suo F110 \u00e8 gi\u00e0 in servizio e gi\u00e0 pagato. L&#039;esito pi\u00f9 probabile di qualsiasi richiesta di informazioni \u00e8 che i due fornitori attuali si limiteranno ad aumentare la concorrenza. Ma il solo fatto di aver posto la domanda, dimostra che l&#039;Aeronautica Militare ha segnalato di non voler pi\u00f9 essere un cliente vincolato.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Le risposte devono pervenire entro la fine di agosto.
