L'Aermacchi MB-326 est l'un des avions-\u00e9coles militaires \u00e0 r\u00e9action les plus commercialement r\u00e9ussis jamais con\u00e7us \u2014 un appareil de conception italienne qui a form\u00e9 toute une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de pilotes de chasse, de Rome \u00e0 Canberra, et qui a connu de v\u00e9ritables combats au-dessus de l'Afrique australe. Aujourd'hui, il est l'anc\u00eatre direct du MB-339, l'appareil pilot\u00e9 par les Frecce Tricolori.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_2 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_1 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_1 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h2>Un classique italien, con\u00e7u pour le cockpit<\/h2>\n<p>Lorsque l'ing\u00e9nieur en chef d'Aermacchi, Ermanno Bazzocchi, entama les travaux sur un nouvel avion-\u00e9cole \u00e0 r\u00e9action au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1950, l'Italie se relevait encore de la guerre. Le pays ne pouvait pas financer le d\u00e9veloppement de chasseurs supersoniques, alors Aermacchi se concentra sur ce qu'elle savait faire de mieux : construire un appareil d'entra\u00eenement simple et robuste, propuls\u00e9 par le turbor\u00e9acteur britannique Rolls-Royce Viper, d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9prouv\u00e9. Volant pour la premi\u00e8re fois le 10 d\u00e9cembre 1957, le MB-326 l'emporta sur son concurrent, le Fiat G.80, et entra en service au sein de l'Arm\u00e9e de l'air italienne en f\u00e9vrier 1962. Sa combinaison de faible co\u00fbt, d'entretien ais\u00e9 et de pilotage indulgent en fit imm\u00e9diatement un succ\u00e8s \u00e0 l'export. L'Australie, le Br\u00e9sil et l'Afrique du Sud construisirent tous l'appareil sous licence, et le type finit par servir au sein de forces a\u00e9riennes sur quatre continents. En Afrique du Sud, les MB-326 \u2014 connus sous le nom d'Impala \u2014 men\u00e8rent des missions de combat durant la guerre des fronti\u00e8res \u00e0 650 km\/h et \u00e0 des altitudes aussi basses que 15 m\u00e8tres. En mars 1966, un MB-326 atteignit une altitude de 17 315 m\u00e8tres lors d'une mont\u00e9e en chandelle \u2014 un record pour sa cat\u00e9gorie. Ermanno Bazzocchi, d'Aermacchi, a gard\u00e9 la cellule \u00e9pur\u00e9e et honn\u00eate \u2014 une aile basse droite, un seul turbor\u00e9acteur Bristol Siddeley Viper, et un cockpit biplace en tandem avec des commandes quasi identiques \u00e0 l'avant et \u00e0 l'arri\u00e8re. Rien n'\u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent sans raison. Le r\u00e9sultat fut un appareil suffisamment indulgent pour les \u00e9l\u00e8ves d\u00e9butants, suffisamment rapide pour l'entra\u00eenement aux armes, et suffisamment robuste pour l'attaque l\u00e9g\u00e8re au sol. Le moteur Viper \u2014 un turbor\u00e9acteur pur, sans post-combustion \u2014 d\u00e9livrait une pouss\u00e9e fiable et un pilotage simple auquel des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de pilotes ont appris \u00e0 faire confiance avant de passer \u00e0 des appareils plus rapides et plus complexes. La r\u00e9sistance structurelle de la cellule \u00e9tait int\u00e9gr\u00e9e d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part : le MB-326 \u00e9tait dimensionn\u00e9 pour les pyl\u00f4nes d'armement, les charges en g et les op\u00e9rations sur terrains rudimentaires, ce qui explique pourquoi tant de forces a\u00e9riennes l'ont maintenu en service pendant trois \u00e0 quatre d\u00e9cennies. Environ 800 exemplaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construits en Italie, en Australie, au Br\u00e9sil et en Afrique du Sud, dans des variantes allant de l'avion-\u00e9cole sans armement au jet d'attaque au sol monoplace. Environ 800 exemplaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construits dans quatre pays, servant au sein de plus de 10 forces a\u00e9riennes sur quatre continents. Les Impala sud-africains ont men\u00e9 de v\u00e9ritables combats durant la guerre des fronti\u00e8res, les appareils de la Marine argentine se sont tenus pr\u00eats durant la guerre des Malouines, et le type a \u00e9tabli des records d'altitude qui ont tenu pendant des ann\u00e9es.
