Dieses Jahr hat das Pentagon es in eine Schublade gesperrt.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 18px; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.75;\">Das GAO best\u00e4tigte am 15. Juli 2026, dass das Verteidigungsministerium seinen j\u00fcngsten Bericht zur Produktion und Modernisierung der F-35 als \u201cKontrollierte, nicht klassifizierte Information\u201d eingestuft hat \u2013 ein b\u00fcrokratisches Label, das bedeutet, dass keine einzige Seite an die \u00d6ffentlichkeit gelangt. Laut der Kontrollbeh\u00f6rde ist dies das erste Mal seit \u00fcber 20 Jahren, dass der gesamte Bericht im Rahmen der j\u00e4hrlichen F-35-\u00dcberpr\u00fcfungen zur\u00fcckgehalten wird.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 18px; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.75;\">Der Zeitpunkt ist alles andere als subtil. Seitdem ver\u00f6ffentlichte das GAO jedes Jahr einen Bericht zu Zeitpl\u00e4nen, Kosten und Einsatzbereitschaft. Diese Praxis ist nun beendet. Fr\u00fchere GAO-Analysen bezifferten die voraussichtlichen Lebenszykluskosten der F-35 auf \u00fcber 1,4 Billionen US-Dollar f\u00fcr rund 2.470 Flugzeuge und einen 77-j\u00e4hrigen Lebenszyklus. Haupttreiber dieser Kosten waren die laufenden Betriebskosten der Jets, nicht die Anschaffungskosten.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 18px; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.75;\">Die Einsatzbereitschaft zeichnete ein \u00e4hnliches Bild. Der Anteil der F-35, die alle ihre zugewiesenen Missionen erf\u00fcllen konnten \u2013 die volle Einsatzf\u00e4higkeit \u2013, war im Fiskaljahr 2025 auf etwa ein Viertel der Flotte gesunken und lag damit deutlich unter den von den Teilstreitkr\u00e4ften selbst gesteckten Zielen. Wenn das Pentagon sein am st\u00e4rksten \u00fcberwachtes Programm mit dem CUI-Siegel versehen kann, k\u00f6nnte dieselbe Kennzeichnung die Aufsicht \u00fcber das n\u00e4chste Programm stillschweigend ersticken. Mehrere Analysten haben den Kongress dringend aufgefordert, eine redigierte \u00f6ffentliche Version, eine detaillierte Begr\u00fcndung f\u00fcr die CUI-Einstufung und einen verbindlichen Ver\u00f6ffentlichungstermin zu fordern.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 18px; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.75;\">Die F-35 wird weiterhin fliegen, weiterhin ein Verm\u00f6gen kosten und weiterhin Schlagzeilen machen.
