Es una historia fascinante. No ten\u00eda cola en absoluto; el control proven\u00eda de alerones, spoilers y timones de arrastre. Sobre el papel, las cifras eran extraordinarias: velocidades superiores a 600 mph, c\u00f3modamente m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas que las del <a href=\"https:\/\/migflug.com\/jetflights\/es\/aeronave\/messerschmitt-me-262\/\">Yo 262<\/a>, y en una liga diferente a la de los motores de pist\u00f3n. <a href=\"https:\/\/migflug.com\/jetflights\/es\/aeronave\/p-51-mustang\/\">P-51 Mustang<\/a> a 437 mph o la <a href=\"https:\/\/migflug.com\/jetflights\/es\/aeronave\/supermarine-spitfire\/\">Supermarine Spitfire<\/a> a 330 mph.<\/p><p>\u201cLa frase clave es &quot;en teor\u00eda&quot;. Reimar continu\u00f3 desarrollando una versi\u00f3n motorizada, el V2, equipado con dos turborreactores Junkers Jumo 004. Su primer vuelo tuvo lugar el 2 de febrero de 1945, sufri\u00f3 da\u00f1os en un aterrizaje forzoso durante su segundo vuelo y se perdi\u00f3 definitivamente el 18 de febrero de 1945. Cuando la guerra en Europa termin\u00f3 unos meses despu\u00e9s, fue capturado por el Tercer Ej\u00e9rcito del general George S. Patton y enviado a Estados Unidos para su estudio.<\/p><h2 style=\"padding-top:22px\">El mito del sigilo, examinado<\/h2><p>Aqu\u00ed entra en juego la leyenda. Tras la guerra, Reimar Horten afirm\u00f3 que su intenci\u00f3n era mezclar carb\u00f3n vegetal con el pegamento de madera del ala para absorber el radar. Un documental de 2009, realizado con Northrop Grumman, bautiz\u00f3 al avi\u00f3n como el \u201ccaza furtivo de Hitler\u201d, y el mito se consolid\u00f3 como realidad en la mente del p\u00fablico. Una prueba de radar independiente realizada por Northrop Grumman revel\u00f3 que la forma de ala volante reduc\u00eda ligeramente la se\u00f1al de radar, pero el carbono presente en la aeronave era un mal absorbente, por lo que la m\u00e1quina a\u00fan habr\u00eda sido detectable. Su silueta es asombrosamente similar a la de un avi\u00f3n. <a href=\"https:\/\/migflug.com\/jetflights\/es\/aeronave\/b-2-espiritu\/\">Esp\u00edritu B-2<\/a> Eso llegar\u00eda medio siglo despu\u00e9s, y desde entonces ha fascinado a los dise\u00f1adores. La Fuerza A\u00e9rea de los Estados Unidos don\u00f3 el V3 al Museo Nacional del Aire y el Espacio en 1952; su cuidadosa conservaci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 reci\u00e9n en 2011, y actualmente se encuentra en el Centro Udvar-Hazy.<\/p><p>El Ho 229 no gan\u00f3 la guerra, ni fue jam\u00e1s un avi\u00f3n furtivo. Lo que represent\u00f3 \u2014un salto audaz y condenado al fracaso hacia una forma que la aviaci\u00f3n no dominar\u00eda hasta dentro de una generaci\u00f3n\u2014 es una historia m\u00e1s fascinante que el mito.
