All\u00ed arriba, not\u00f3 que su velocidad respecto al suelo aumentaba mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo que el motor por s\u00ed solo pod\u00eda explicar. Hab\u00eda volado dentro de la corriente en chorro \u2014los r\u00edos de viento a gran altitud que los aviones comerciales a\u00fan utilizan\u2014 y se hab\u00eda convertido en la primera persona en aprovecharla.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"padding-top:22px\">El \u00faltimo vuelo<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p>En 1935, Post construy\u00f3 un hidroavi\u00f3n h\u00edbrido a partir del fuselaje de un Lockheed Orion y las alas de un Lockheed Explorer accidentado, con la intenci\u00f3n de explorar una ruta hacia Rusia. Su amigo \u00edntimo Will Rogers \u2014humorista, estrella de cine y el hombre m\u00e1s querido de Estados Unidos\u2014 le pidi\u00f3 acompa\u00f1arlo para recopilar material para su columna period\u00edstica, escribiendo en su m\u00e1quina de escribir mientras Post volaba.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>El 15 de agosto de 1935, cerca de Point Barrow, Alaska, aterrizaron en una laguna para pedir indicaciones en medio de un mal tiempo.
