Le 12 juin 2025, le vol AI171 d&#039;Air India, un Boeing 787-8 immatricul\u00e9 VT-ANB, a d\u00e9coll\u00e9 d&#039;Ahmedabad \u00e0 destination de Londres Gatwick et s&#039;est \u00e9cras\u00e9 environ 32 secondes plus tard sur une r\u00e9sidence universitaire abritant des \u00e9tudiants en m\u00e9decine, \u00e0 environ 1,7 kilom\u00e8tre de la piste. Sur les 242 personnes \u00e0 bord, 241 ont p\u00e9ri\u00a0; 19 autres ont trouv\u00e9 la mort au sol. Un seul passager a surv\u00e9cu.<\/p><p>Le rapport pr\u00e9liminaire a \u00e9tabli que, quelques secondes apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9collage, les deux interrupteurs de commande de carburant des moteurs sont pass\u00e9s successivement de la position MARCHE \u00e0 la position ARR\u00caT, privant ainsi les deux moteurs de carburant. La cause de ce changement n&#039;a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 expliqu\u00e9e. Les interrupteurs ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 remis en position \u00ab\u00a0Marche\u00a0\u00bb, et les moteurs ont tent\u00e9 de red\u00e9marrer\u00a0; mais l&#039;appareil volait trop bas et trop lentement, et au moins un moteur n&#039;a pas pu r\u00e9tablir sa pouss\u00e9e \u00e0 temps.<\/p><p>L&#039;enregistrement des conversations du poste de pilotage a captur\u00e9 un bref \u00e9change troublant\u00a0: un pilote a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#039;autre pourquoi il avait actionn\u00e9 les interrupteurs de coupure\u00a0; l&#039;autre a r\u00e9pondu qu&#039;il ne l&#039;avait pas fait. Le rapport s&#039;arr\u00eate l\u00e0. En 2018, la Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) am\u00e9ricaine a publi\u00e9 un bulletin d&#039;information signalant que le dispositif de verrouillage de l&#039;interrupteur de coupure de carburant pouvait, sur certains mod\u00e8les Boeing, dont le 787-8, \u00eatre install\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 rester d\u00e9sengag\u00e9. Ce bulletin \u00e9tait consultatif et non obligatoire, et l&#039;inspection recommand\u00e9e n&#039;a, de l&#039;aveu m\u00eame d&#039;Air India aux enqu\u00eateurs, pas \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e sur l&#039;appareil accident\u00e9.<\/p><p>C\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment pour cette raison que la d\u00e9couverte de juillet 2026 est significative. Si l\u2019interrupteur et son m\u00e9canisme de verrouillage sont en bon \u00e9tat, l\u2019explication du \" simple dysfonctionnement de l\u2019interrupteur \" devient plus difficile \u00e0 soutenir, ce qui pousse l\u2019enqu\u00eate \u00e0 examiner plus en profondeur l\u2019\u00e9lectronique et la logique du module de commande de pouss\u00e9e actuellement en phase de test chez Boeing.<\/p><h2 style=\"padding-top:22px\">Une enqu\u00eate minutieuse et controvers\u00e9e<\/h2><p>Les enqu\u00eateurs ont globalement opt\u00e9 pour deux interpr\u00e9tations. La premi\u00e8re recherche un d\u00e9clencheur technique \u2013 un d\u00e9faut \u00e9lectrique susceptible d&#039;avoir perturb\u00e9 les syst\u00e8mes de l&#039;appareil, les mouvements des interrupteurs \u00e9tant alors un sympt\u00f4me et non un acte d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9. La seconde interpr\u00e8te l&#039;enregistrement audio du poste de pilotage comme la preuve d&#039;un arr\u00eat manuel. Aucune cause n&#039;a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablie et les tribunaux indiens ont pris soin de pr\u00e9ciser que le rapport pr\u00e9liminaire n&#039;implique aucune culpabilit\u00e9 de la part du commandant de bord.<\/p><p>Plus d&#039;un an apr\u00e8s, les familles attendent toujours ce que l&#039;enqu\u00eate ne peut encore leur apporter\u00a0: une explication. Le module de commande de pouss\u00e9e, actuellement examin\u00e9 chez Boeing, pourrait la d\u00e9tenir.
