Every operation of the Haitian Aviation Corps and its armed forces
The corps has never fought an air battle. Wikipedia credits it with Caribbean patrols in the Second World War, and one of its founding pilots, Raymond Cassagnol, logged more than 100 patrol hours over Hispaniola. It did not fly against the US-led intervention of 1994, which ended it. Since March 2024 Haitian soldiers have secured Port-au-Prince airport and worked with the police and the Kenyan-led mission that UN Security Council Resolution 2793 turned into a Gang Suppression Force on 30 September 2025, but no flying role for the aviation corps is recorded. From wartime patrols over Hispaniola to an army without aircraft in a country fighting its gangs.

Patrol, transport and communication flights; Wikipedia describes a role in Caribbean anti-submarine warfare against the German navy. The corps was created in wartime and its first job was to watch its own coast. Wikipedia’s article on the corps says it served in Caribbean anti-submarine warfare against the German navy, and its biography of Raymond Cassagnol records that he flew more than 100 hours of patrols over Hispaniola in AT-6 Texans after returning from Tuskegee in 1943. The aircraft were American-supplied: six Douglas O-38E observation biplanes in 1942. No attack on a submarine and no loss is recorded in the sources checked. Sonuç No engagement with enemy forces is recorded. The anti-submarine role rests on Wikipedia; no sortie count, attack or sighting was found in a second source.

Did not fly against the intervention; the corps was disbanded afterwards. The intervention that restored the elected president, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, in 1994 found almost nothing to fight in the air. Wikipedia lists the corps’ remaining aircraft as two O-57 Grasshoppers, three BT-13 Valiants, a C-78 Bobcat and a C-46 Commando, nearly all of Second World War vintage and "in very poor condition". Aeroflight records the corps as disbanded in 1994, after the UN-backed intervention. Aristide then dissolved the army itself: in Wikipedia’s account he suspended the armed forces on 6 December 1995 and replaced them with the civilian Haitian National Police. Sonuç President Aristide was restored; the corps was disbanded in 1994 (Aeroflight) and the armed forces dissolved in 1995. The corps was not a party to combat; it is listed because the intervention ended it.

Haitian soldiers secured Toussaint Louverture airport from 4 March 2024 and later operated alongside the police and the Kenyan contingent; no flying role by the aviation corps is recorded. After armed groups attacked prisons and police stations in early March 2024, English Wikipedia records, the armed forces deployed on 4 March 2024 to secure Toussaint Louverture International Airport, beside the aviation corps’ base; the airport stayed closed to civil flights until 20 May 2024. By August 2024, Wikipedia says, soldiers were working alongside the Haitian National Police and the Kenyan contingent of the Multinational Security Support Mission, whose first 400 police officers had landed on 25 June 2024. On 30 September 2025 UN Security Council Resolution 2793 turned that mission into a Gang Suppression Force, authorised at 5,500 personnel, which Wikipedia says is to work with both the police and the armed forces. Gunfire hit a Spirit Airlines airliner approaching Port-au-Prince on 11 November 2024, and the US Federal Aviation Administration then barred US carriers from Haitian airspace for 30 days. Sonuç Devam ediyor. Casualty figures for the gang conflict are published by the UN and by the Haitian government and vary by period; none is given here because none concerns the aviation corps.
