Most people are. All it takes is reasonable general health – no serious back, heart or spinal trouble, blood pressure under control, and no pregnancy. Glasses or contacts are fine. You’ll sign a short medical declaration, and if in doubt check with your doctor beforehand.

• Weight: A bit of a belly is usually no problem – the limitation is the belt around the upper leg. We have done flights up to 253 pounds (115 kg).
• Height: Long legs are usually no problem up to a point. If you have a long upper body we need a closer look from about 6ft 5 or 2.01 m. Chest 52″ (132 cm), waist 48″ (122 cm).
• Seat height: If this applies to you, please let us know your “seat height” – when you sit down, the distance from the seating surface to the head tip.

• No flight skills required: Even as a layman you may take over the controls in the air and fly the aircraft yourself. For these purposes, you will be briefed beforehand on the ground. As a rule of thumb, the more flight experience a guest has the more liberties he will have in the air, and the more stick time he or she gets. Through an intercom system, you are in permanent contact with the pilot, and he can react to your condition during the flight.
• Health: You must be in reasonable general health. Serious heart, mental or back problems as well as untreated hypertension (elevated blood pressure) might be an issue. In case of doubt, we strongly recommend to check with your doctor. Pregnancy is a no-go.
• Flight day: Come rested, sober and receptive, and wear sturdy shoes that go over the ankles.

The minimum age requirement for flying in Florida is 14 years old, and parents have to agree to the flight below the age of 18. There is no upper limit as long as the customer is in reasonable general health. We have had a customer who was almost 97 years old!

The flight itself is the package you choose: 30, 45 or 60 minutes. For the day as a whole, plan on roughly 2.5 to 3 hours on site – that includes the briefing, gearing up, the flight, and time afterwards for photos, your certificate and a chat with the pilot.

Here’s the typical flow of your Florida jet flight day: you arrive and meet your pilot and hear about the aircraft; you gear up in a flight suit and helmet; you talk through your comfort level and how intense you’d like the aerobatics; you get a full safety briefing and a run-through of the cockpit instruments; then comes the flight itself – aerobatics, stick time and sightseeing; afterwards you receive your flight certificate, and most guests stay on to chat with the pilot.

The time you book is your arrival time – when you meet your pilot – not the take-off time, so there’s no need to arrive earlier than scheduled. Do leave a margin for traffic, though, so you get there relaxed and on time. From there you’ll have your briefing and gear up before flying, with the whole visit taking around 2.5 to 3 hours.

That said, it’s very rare that a flight actually has to be moved.
