Lockheed T-33 Jet Flight in Waterloo (near Toronto)
The Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star – often called T-Bird – is the first and only Jet Warbird available in Canada for passenger flights. The primary users – United States Air Force and Navy, German Air Force, Japan Air Self Defense Force, and Royal Canadian Air Force had used the T-33 as an advanced military jet trainer and for target towing. Other nations had also used the T-33 as a combat aircraft and reconnaissance aircraft. During the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba, the Cuban Air Force used the T-33 and scored several kills. The CIA planners of that invasion had failed to discover that the (US-supplied) T-33 jets had long since been armed with machine guns and bombs.
Fly a T-33 – the Program for Your Military Aircraft Experience
Before the flight, you will be doing preparations and training – within a total duration-time of 3h. Then you’ll be ready for the T-33 flight. The T-33 flight program is custom-tailored, the pilot will try to find out what you are looking for and meet your needs. If you are into G-forces you’ll get it with the T-Bird. On top of that, you can control the T-33 yourself. Something that our customers/co-pilots can do during all of MiGFlug’s flight offers.
After the breathtaking jet warbird flight, customers will receive a flight certificate, and some “hero photos” with the pilot in front of the jet will be done. Miguel (photos above and video below) sent us this feedback after his T-33 jet flight:
“My flight experience on the 6th of September in the T-33 was phenomenal and I could not have asked for a better and more professional group of people to provide me with such a fantastic experience, it was truly amazing and I thank MiGFlug for providing such a service. I also highly recommend the experience for any future customers you might have.”
The flight program encompasses the following:
- Rolls
- Immelman
- Loops
- Split-S
- Ascent and acceleration while vertical
- Dives and vertical dives
- Tail-Slide

FAQ: T-33 Shooting Star Jet Flights in Canada
Can I fly a real military jet in Canada?
Yes – near Toronto you fly the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star, a genuine military jet, with a professional pilot beside you. No licence required, stick time included.
What military jet can I fly in Canada?
You’ll fly the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star, the two-seat jet that trained generations of Cold War fighter pilots. It’s a genuine piece of aviation history, and getting airborne in one near Toronto is a rare privilege.
Where do the T-33 jet flights in Canada take place?
They run from Waterloo in Ontario, with a route that takes in the countryside between Toronto and the Niagara region – dramatic scenery seen at a speed and altitude almost nobody else gets to experience.
Every MiGFlug jet and location worldwide is listed on the flights & prices overview.
Do I need flying experience or a licence to fly the T-33?
Neither. Once your ground briefing is done you can fly the T-33 yourself with the pilot guiding you, and you stay in voice contact the whole time.
Am I fit and healthy enough for a T-33 jet flight?
Most people are. You simply need to be in reasonable general health – no serious back, heart or spinal problems, blood pressure under control, and no pregnancy. Glasses or contacts are absolutely fine. You’ll sign a short medical declaration, and if anything is borderline just check with your doctor first.
Is there a minimum age for a T-33 jet flight in Canada?
As a guide we ask for a minimum age of 14, with a parent’s consent for under-18s, and there’s no upper limit as long as you’re in reasonable general health. Local rules can vary, so please confirm with us when you book.
How safe is the T-33 jet flight?
Is this a real jet flight – and can I read reviews from other customers?
How long does a T-33 jet flight experience take?
The flight itself is whichever package you choose above. Set aside roughly 2.5 to 3 hours at the airfield in total – that covers your briefing, getting kitted out, the flight, and time afterwards for photos and a chat with the pilot.
What does the day of a T-33 jet flight look like?
You’ll meet your pilot and get to know the T-33, suit up, and talk through how gentle or full-on you’d like things to be. After a safety and cockpit briefing you head out for aerobatics, hands-on flying and sightseeing, then come back to your flight certificate.
Should I arrive before my booked T-33 flight time?
Your booking time is when you arrive and meet the pilot, not when the jet leaves the ground, so there’s no need to come any earlier than that. Just leave a little margin for traffic so you arrive unhurried.
When can I book a T-33 jet flight in Canada during the year?
This is a seasonal Canadian operation, so flights run mainly from late spring through autumn when the weather is most settled. If conditions ever ground your flight, we move it to another day at no extra cost.

All open dates and times sit in a live calendar on our booking page – pick whatever suits, or book an open date and lock it in later. The best slots go first, so the earlier you book the better.
What if I picked the wrong date, time or location when booking?
Does my flight expire if it can’t take place as planned?
How much does a jet flight in Canada cost?

Up to six T-33 flights per day are possible. So a couple, a family or a group of friends can all fly on the same day – brief together, then take turns in the air.
Can I give a T-33 jet flight in Canada as a gift?
Absolutely. A T-33 gift voucher is open-dated (and can even be open-location), arrives as an instant printable certificate, and fixes today’s price. Nothing is sent to the recipient, so the surprise stays entirely with you.
What do I physically give when gifting a T-33 flight?
A personalized gift voucher, free of charge and ready to print. You can also add a handcrafted, handpainted model of the aircraft – made by hand in Ukraine, shipped directly to you – or a Swiss watch from our cooperation with Maurice de Mauriac, engraved with the flight details (more here). Both are offered right after booking.
Can the person I gift it to pick another flight?
Yes – complete flexibility. If the recipient prefers a different location or jet, we change the booking free of charge. There is no wrong choice when gifting with us.
