The L-39 Albatros is a very attractive jet for unforgettable fighter jet rides. The view from the backseat is very good due to a higher seat position – and the jet is nice and easy to fly for inexperienced customers. The L-39 Albatros is well-known and popular from the Breitling Jet Team, James Bond and the Reno Air Race. It is comparably cheap to operate. Therefore costs for an L-39 Albatros jet ride are reasonable compared to supersonic jet flights.

During the era of the Cold War, the Airbase in the South Eifel was a US military airbase and home of the 36th Fighter Wing. From 1952 until 1994, the following jets operated from here: F-84 Thunderjet, F-86 Sabre, F-100 C/F Super Sabre, F-105 D/F Thunderchief, F-4 D Phantom II, F-15 A/B Eagle and F-15 C/D. Furthermore, it was home base of the famous display team Skyblazers, flying the F-100 C Super Sabre.
The Spangdahlem Air Base is an important airbase for the US Air Force up to today. A part of the 3rd Air Force is still operating from Spangdahlem Air Force base – along with Ramstein – and is home to the 52nd Fighter Wing with its F-16 C/D Fighting Falcon. Until 2013 it was home to the A-10 Thunderbolt as well.
