No. After a full ground briefing you can take the controls of the Vampire yourself with the pilot guiding you, in constant voice contact.

Most people are. You need to be in reasonable general health - no serious back, heart or spinal problems, controlled blood pressure, and no pregnancy. Glasses or contacts are fine. You'll sign a short medical declaration; if in doubt, check with your doctor first.

At this UK location the minimum age is 18. There's no upper age limit as long as you're in reasonable general health - we've flown a guest who was almost 97.

The flight is whichever package you choose above. Allow about 2.5 to 3 hours on site overall - briefing, gearing up, the flight, and time afterwards for photos and a chat with the pilot.

You'll meet your pilot and get to know this historic Vampire, suit up, and agree the intensity you'd like. After a safety and cockpit briefing you head out for aerobatics, hands-on flying and sightseeing, then come back to your flight certificate.

Your booking time is when you arrive and meet the pilot, not when the jet leaves the ground, so there's no need to come earlier. Just leave a margin for traffic so you arrive unhurried.

Flights run mainly through the warmer half of the year, roughly spring to autumn, when British weather is most cooperative. If conditions ground your flight, we reschedule it at no cost.
